Smotherman, George F.

65 years old, a resident of Douthat Oklahoma the last 24 years, died March 9 at 7 pm, Thursday,, at his home. He had been employed as a millman for the Lawyer Mining Company for many years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Catherine Smotherman, and three sons, S. C. Smotherman, William Smotherman, and Sterling J. Smotherman, all of Douthat. Funeral services were conducted at 2 pm, Saturday at the Douthat Baptist church. Rev. M. R. Dareing, pastor of the Cardin Oklahoma Baptist church, officiated. Burial was in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, with the Todd funeral home of Picher in charge.
