Smith, a resident of Ottawa county Oklahoma, 45 years, died Saturday morning at his home in Fairland. He formerly resided at Commerce Oklahoma and Miami, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Smith, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Lawson and Mrs. Alma Blair, both of Miami; Mrs. Mary Styles, Sacramento California, and Mrs. Ruth McConnell, Fairland; two sons, Williams F. Smith, Jr., of the home, and Private James Harvey Smith, in the Army in Japan; five sisters and 10 grandchildren. The body was received by the Mitchelson funeral home, Commerce.

Final rites will be conducted at 2 pm Friday at the First Baptist Church in Fairland. The Rev. A. E. Nikkel will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jack Crafton, Louis Stephens and Henry Stephens, John McGinty, Walter Rubin and Earl Harris. Burial will be Apr 19, 1957, in the Fairland cemetery under direction of the Mitchelson funeral home of Commerce.
