...was pronounced dead on arrival Sunday morning at Miami Baptist hospital after becoming ill at his home..., Mr. Smith had lived in Ottawa county Oklahoma most of his life. A farmer and stockman, he also had worked for the Corbus Spring Company for 20 years before retiring, a former lead and zinc miner. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Smith, of the home; two sons, Jim Smith, Tulsa Oklahoma and Dick Smith, Broken Arrow Oklahoma; two brothers, Hershal Smith, Miami Rt. 2, and Harley Smith, Commerce; three sisters, Mrs. Neva Richmond, Miami, Mrs. Vivian Jameson, Miami Rt. 3; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
