Abstract Data

48 years old, died at 2:55 o'clock Friday morning at his home in Cardin Oklahoma following an illness of three weeks. He was a miner, and had lived here for the past 30 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gladys Shoemaker; two sons, Roy Shoemaker and James Lee Shoemaker, and a daughter, Colleen Shoemaker, all of the home; four brothers, George Shoemaker of Douthat Oklahoma, Denzil Shoemaker and Ollie Shoemaker of Picher Oklahoma and Donald Shoemaker of Beldon California and five sisters, Mrs. Goldie Perry of Douthat; Mrs. Callie Crow of Fairland Oklahoma and Mrs. Nadine Smith, Mrs. Juanita Smith and Mrs. May Nixon, all of Picher Oklahoma. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist church in Picher...Burial was in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami Oklahoma under direction of the Goodson funeral home. Pallbearers were Claude Smith, Eddy McGuire, Jimmy Stevens and Johnny Stevens, Horace Murphy and Kirk Davis.
