Sheppard, Milton Ollen "Bud"

32 year old lead and zinc miner, died at his home in Douthat Oklahoma at 11:25 p.m. Sunday. He had been ill for the past several months. Born in Stilwell Oklahoma, Sheppard had lived in the Tri-State community for the past several years. He was a member of the Free Gospel Holiness church in Douthat. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jewell Sheppard, a son, David E. Sheppard, and two daughters, Bonnie Lucille Sheppard and Mary E. Sheppard, all of the home, and his mother, Mrs. Ruth Sheppard of Douthat. The Thomas funeral home of Picher Oklahoma will announce arrangements for service and burial.

Funeral services for Milton Ollen Bud' Sheppard will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Free Holiness church of Douthat. The Rev. Henry Utter will officiate. The body will lie in state at the Douthat home until the funeral hour. Pallbearers will be Elmer Eby, John Deatherage, Rex Karnes, Carroll Karnes, Sal Smotherman and Francis Jordan. Sheppard died late Sunday after a long illness. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under direction of the Thomas funeral home of Picher.
