Abstract Data

The Rev. James Monroe Sexton, 67 years old, died at 8:30 o'clock this morning at his home in North Miami Oklahoma after an illness of six months. Mr. Sexton, a retired minister, and miner, was formerly associated with the Free Will Baptist church near Melrose Kansas. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lucy Sexton, three sons, James A. Sexton of Melrose, Clifford Sexton of Picher Oklahoma, and Henry M. Sexton of North Miami; four daughters, Mrs. Maude Hays of Miami, Mrs. Beulah Corbus of North Miami, Mrs. Ray Mayfield of Melrose, and Mrs. Anna May Briggs of Baxter Springs Kansas. Funeral arrangements will be completed by the Mitchelson funeral home of Commerce Oklahoma.

Funeral services of the Rev. James M. Sexton, 67 years old who died at his home in North Miami, Apr 21, will be held at 2 pm in the Assembly of God church at North Miami. Rev. Robert Anderson of Miami, Pastor of the church in North Miami, will officiate and the services will be in charge of the Fellowship Lodge 345, A.F. of A.M. of Joplin Missouri. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery at Galena Kansas, under direction of the Mitchelson funeral home of Commerce.
