Funeral services will be held for Mance Selle, retired miner of Treece Kansas, today, Thursday, at the Freewill Baptist church in Picher at 2:00. The Rev. Robert Nichols and Rev. Orville Johnson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the G.A.R. cemetery near Miami under the direction of Morton Lundy funeral home. Mance Selle was born Apr 9, 1900 at Coalgate Oklahoma and passed away at 11:45 Monday morning, October 9, 1950 at Versaills Missouri. He was fifty years and six month old. He leaves his wife, Anna Selle of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Eleana Peace and Joanna Selle and two sons, Robert Lee Selle and Edmond Selle all of the home. Two brothers Alec Selle of Coalgate and Joe Selle of Fresno California; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Love, Galena Kansas, Mrs. Myrtle Posey, Kansas City Missouri, Mrs. Lena Lamb, Grass Valley California, and Florence Cutbirth of Birk Idaho. The body will lie in state in the home from five o'clock Wednesday evening until the funeral hour. Pallbearers are: Glen Henson, Walter Palmer, Curtis Stanley, Burl Rader, Everett Jones and Kenneth Turner. Burial place not noted.
