38 years old, who was killed Friday afternoon at Joplin Missouri when the motor car in which he was riding was struck by a Frisco passenger train, will be at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the family home at South Treece Street, Picher Oklahoma. The Rev. C. O. Huff of Picher will speak. Picher lodge No. 596, I.O.O.F., will have charge of the services. Burial will be Monday at Stotts City Missouri. Schurtz leaves his widow, Mrs. Minty Schurts, and five children. Schurts and E. R. Reed of Treece, both miners, were thrown from the car by the crash. Schurtz died as he reached Freeman hospital, Joplin. Reed was dangerously injured.
