44 years old, died early today at his home at Picher Oklahoma. Death followed a long illness. He had lived here for a number of years, having been employed as a miner. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Sands, one daughter; Mrs. Annabelle Ross of Lydaliska Arkansas; one son, James Sands of Picher; one brother, Frank Sands of Flag Arkansas; his mother, Mrs. Anna Sands of Coffeyville Kansas, and five sisters, Mrs. Bertha Townly and Mrs. Ethel Williams, both of Picher; Mrs. Mary Gibson of Osage Oklahoma; Mrs. Donna Privitt of Coffeyville and Mrs. Ona Forken of Bisbee Arizona. Funeral service are incomplete. The Durnil funeral home, Picher, is in charge.

Funeral services for Charles J. Sands, 41 years old, who died of pneumonia yesterday at his home on North Emily Street, Picher Oklahoma will be conducted at the chapel of the Durnil funeral home, Picher, at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon. Pallbearers will include: Paul Kirby, Charles Ross, Earnest Johnson, Harold Edens, Jim Chambers and Bud Hilburn. Mr. Sands had lived in Picher a number of years, during which time he had worked as a miner. He had been employed by the Eagle-Picher Mining Company several years. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami.
