60 year old retired lead and zinc miner, died at his home in the Peoria Oklahoma district at 9:30 p.m. Thursday. He had been ill for some time. Sappington had lived at Zincville Oklahoma before he moved to the Peoria community 10 years ago. Survivors include seven sons, Russell Sappington of Peoria, Claude Sappington of Wallace Idaho, Dale Sappington of Zincville, Doyle Sappington of Bonner Springs Missouri, Leroy Sappington of Baxter Springs Kansas Route 1, Billy Sappington, serving with an Air force unit at Hamilton Field California, and Verlin Sappington of Amarillo Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Ludlun of Quapaw Oklahoma, and Mrs. Catherine Loy of Fort Worth Texas, and 15 grandchildren. Arrangements for services and burial will be announced by the Thomas funeral home of Picher.

Funeral services for Jessie F. Sappington, 60 year old retired miner who died at his home in the Peoria community Thursday night, will be conducted at the Assembly of God church in Peoria at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Elmo Beaver will officiate. Pallbearers will be Fred Stasell and Johnny Stasell, Homer Sullivan, Claud Atkerson and Verl Bilke and Wayne Bilke. Burial will be in the Baxter Springs cemetery under direction of the Thomas funeral home of Picher. The body will lie in state at the home from 6 p.m. Monday until the funeral hour.
