34, died at 6 Saturday night at his home, 404 Vantage Street, Picher Oklahoma. Death was caused by tuberculosis. He had been ill since last March. Surviving relatives included his wife; his parents, Mr. and Mr. Joe Sappington, also of Picher; two brothers and three stepchildren. Funeral services will be held at Carterville Missouri, possibly Monday.

Charley Edmund Sappington, was born in Laclede county Missouri, Sep 29, 1888. He grew up in the county, then came to Carterville Missouri, and worked in the mines. On March 9, 1918, he married Mrs. Lula D. Williams, who had three children. Mr. Sappington later came to Picher Oklahoma, and went to work for the Picher Mining Company, where he was working at the time of his death, Aug 19, 1922. Mr. Sappington was well liked by everybody who knew him. He always had a pleasant smile, and kind word for everyone he met and made lots of friends. Besides his wife, and three step-children, he leaves a father and mother to mourn his loss, also two brothers and a father-in- law.
