- - ...Impressive funeral tribute paid to James F. Robinson at services attended by multitude of friends at the First Baptist church...although it had been announced that the casket would not be opened at the church, it was learned that many had been unable to take advantage of the invitation to view the remains at the family home yesterday morning, and it was decided to permit these to have this second opportunity. Hundreds marched in single file into the church at one door and out at another, after passing the open casket...The Tri-State Zinc and Lead Ore Producers association attended the funeral services in a body. Other visiting mining men in attendance at the funeral included Julian D. Conover, secretary of the American Zinc Institute of New York; A. R. Campbell, Shreveport Louisiana; and a large delegation from Joplin Missouri, Picher Oklahoma, Baxter Springs Kansas and other cities and towns of the district...James Fountain Robinson was born in Anderson county Kansas, on Jan 25, 1865...On Aug 21,1884, he married Miss Katherine Green at Lamar and to this marriage were born three children, all of whom are living and present at the funeral. They are Mrs. Lillie O. Wills, John A. Robinson and Mrs. Gladys E. Youse...Robinson died Nov 20, at 9 o'clock. He is survived by his wife, his three children; two brothers, T. L. Robinson and S. D. Robinson; a sister, Mrs. Annie Green, all of whom live in Miami, and one aunt, Mrs. S. L. Sutton of near Tulsa Oklahoma, who could not be present at the funeral.
