Galena Kansas Rt 1, was pronounced dead on arrival at 6:34 pm Wednesday at Baxter Memorial hospital, after suffering from an apparent heart attack. He was born Apr 26, 1901, in Blune Texas, and had lived in the Galena area most of his life. He was a blacksmith and mine hoisterman, retiring in 1964, after 40 years with Eagle-Picher Company industries. A veteran, he was an army corporal in World War I and a member of the Lowell Friends church. Survivors include two sons, James A. Robinson, Riverton Kansas, and Bill A. Robinson, Pittsburg Kansas; three daughters, Norma Jean Skrobot, Chicago Illinois, Darlene Lee Skaggs, Quapaw Oklahoma, and Claudine Phillips Kansas City Missouri; a brother, Jack Robinson, Miami; three sisters, Gladys Saulter and Wilma Hamilton, both of Baxter Springs Kansas and Lucile Denton, Pampa Texas; eight grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David May, Bill Hamilton, Ronnie Hamilton, L. V. Crotts, Bill Cruse and Bill Gibson. ...Burial will be in Lowell Kansas cemetery.
