Roath, Arthur Ray "Happy"

veteran employee of the Eagle-Picher Company and a resident of Picher Oklahoma for 43 years, died early today at his home, 100 North Connell Street, Picher. He was 57 years old. Roath had been an employee of the Eagle-Picher Company for 26 years. He became ill not long after receiving a 25 year service award from the company last spring. He underwent surgery in June. A native of Galena Kansas, Roath is survived by his wife, Marie Roath, of the home; two brothers, Charles Roath, Webb City Missouri, and Robert Roath, who lives in Colorado; and a sister, Mrs. Clara E. Smith, Carterville Missouri. Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Thomas mortuary here. The Rev. Frank Wood of Shawnee will officiate. Pallbearers will include Billy Bogard, James Gillispie, Leon Testerman, Walter Young, Bernard Davis and Oren Pettit. Burial in the Carterville cemetery.
