Charles W. Tuck' Ritter, 72 years old, a widely known Joplin Missouri district mine superintendent, died at 3:40 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home, 206 Empire avenue. Mr. Ritter, a native of Fayetteville Arkansas, had lived in Joplin 65 years. Until his retirement he was active in mine operations. Among mines of which he was general superintendent were the Dorothy Bill Mine and the Old Jack Mine. Mr. and Mrs. Ritter observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary last June 27. He was a member of Fellowship lodge No. 345, AF & AM. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Littlie Ritter; a daughter, Mrs. Beulah Huff of San Antonio Texas; two brothers, Warren Ritter of Stillwater Oklahoma, and Norman Ritter of Roseburg Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Warren, 2220 Sergeant avenue, and three grandchildren. The body was received at the Parker-Hunsaker mortuary.
