of 211 North Quincy Street, Commerce Oklahoma, died Jan 6, 1946, age 89, at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Freeman hospital in Joplin Missouri. Before moving to Commerce six years ago, he had lived in Picher Oklahoma for 20 years. He had moved to Ottawa county Oklahoma from near Lebanon Missouri. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara Rigg of the home; two sons, Walter Rigg of Picher and Robert Rigg of Commerce; four daughters, Mrs. H. A. Hallock and Mrs. D. E. Hance, both of Commerce, and Mrs. W. J. Haslett and Mrs. L. E. McFall, both residing on Commerce road; a sister, Mrs. Stella Mattox of Goodman Missouri; a brother, Charles Rigg of Picher, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the First Methodist church in Commerce. The Rev. M. O. Childress will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under direction of the Mitchelson funeral home.
