21 years old, was struck by a motor car of the O. K. and M. railroad Early Friday morning and badly bruised and skinned and one foot crushed. Riddle, who works at the Vinegar Hill Mine, was running to catch the last car into Miami at the Bluebird Mine crossing. The car went past the crossing before the engineer saw him. He then stopped and backed up. Riddle was running down the track toward the car when it started backing, and the rear end of the car struck him, knocking him down, crushing his right foot and bruising his back. He was put on the car and brought into Miami where he was sent to the Baptist Hospital. He is married, but has not children. His home is on F Street southeast, Miami.
