A pioneer hard rock lead and zinc miner of Picher Oklahoma, died at Apr 26, 1934, age 43, at 5:30 o'clock this morning at his home, 300 North Vantage Street, Picher Oklahoma. Death followed an illness of several years, being attributed to lung trouble. Rickey's condition became much worse last fall, since which time he gradually weakened. He had lived in Picher the last 17 years. During this period he was engaged as a miner. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Alice Brown of Treece Kansas, and three brothers, Joe Rickey of Oklahoma City, Oscar Rickey of McAlester Oklahoma and Virgil Rickey address unknown. Funeral service will be conducted at the Central Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the pastor, the Rev. C. E. Hoole officiating. Pallbearers will include Oscar Nyberg, Dick Hansen, Dee Poole, Ivan Fisher, Lawson Richardson and Guy Pierce. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under direction of Todd undertaking company, Picher.

Funeral services for Max Rickey, 42 years old, who died last Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Grigsby, 300 North Vantage Street, Picher, will be conducted at the Central Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. The pastor, the Rev. C. E. Hoole, will officiate. Pallbearers will include Oscar Nyberg, Dick Hansen, Dee Poole, Ivan Fisher, Lawson Richardson and Guy Pierce. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under direction of the Todd undertaking company, Picher. In addition to three brothers the surviving relatives include the mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown, of Treece.
