Edward R. Rhodes, 33 year old district miner, died at 5:30 am Saturday at his home in Mineral Heights. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Luell Rhodes; a son, Bobbie Rhodes of the home, three brothers, Tom Rhodes of Picher, Andrew Rhodes, Joplin Missouri, and Lawrence Rhodes of the U.S. Army; and two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Douthat of Quapaw Oklahoma and Mrs. Goldier Davis of Seneca Missouri. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Durnil funeral home, Picher.

Funeral services for Rhodes, 33, who died at 5:50 am Saturday at his home in Mineral Heights in Picher will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the First Baptist church of Picher Oklahoma with the Rev. W. H. Hawes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest cemetery at Galena Kansas, under the direction of the Durnil funeral home in Picher. Pallbearers will be Clarence Inman, Danny Waterson, Vernard Skaggs, Jess Cox, Ray Coleman and Darril Thomas.
