He attended school in Picher Oklahoma, graduating from Picher High School in 1943. A veteran, he served a year in the military. He worked in the mines in the Picher area before moving to Mt. Vernon. He retired from the General Electric company in Mt. Vernon. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Reeves, of the home; a daughter, Debbie Hargove, Rogers Arkansas; a son, Danny Reeves, Norman Oklahoma; his mother, Lucille Reeves, Picher; four brothers, Williams Earl Reeves, Harrisburg Arkansas, Robert Reeves, Burlington North Caroline, Timothy Reeves, Trumann Arkansas and Bert Reeves, Picher; a sister, Nancy Walls, Neosho Missouri; a granddaughter and three grandsons. The funeral service was 1 pm Tuesday, Aug 29, at Boone funeral home, Mt. Vernon, with the Rev. Dallas Robinson officiating. Burial was in Bellefontaine cemetery, Mt. Vernon.
