A 48 year old lead and zinc miner, died in the sanatarium at Talihina Oklahoma, at midnight Thursday. He had been in the sanatarium for about a week. Reed was employed by the Dines Mining Company in Picher Oklahoma until a month ago. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness church in North Miami Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Trudie Reed of the home in North Miami; a son, Jacob Reed of the U. S. Army in California; a daughter, Mrs. Lelia Kirk of North Miami; two sisters, Mrs. Florine Bired of Stilwell Oklahoma, and another sister whose name and address were not known immediately; a brother, Eugene Reed of Selma California, and three grandsons. Arrangements for services and burial will be announced by the Thomas funeral home of Picher.

---Funeral services for Jessie C. Reed, 48 year old lead and zinc miner who died in the sanatarium at Talihina Oklahoma, Thursday, will be conducted at the Pentecostal Holiness church in North Miami at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Melvin Milliken will officiate. Pallbearers will be Robert Speer, Jack Jones, the Rev. Russell Moudy, Jack Gilstrap, the Rev. Harley Niday and Wofford Wyrick. Reed was a longtime resident of North Miami. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery, at Miami under direction of the Thomas funeral home of Picher.
