Redden, Roy Eugene


Abstract Data

of Picher Oklahoma, died at 5:30 pm Saturday, Dec 16, 2000, at Freeman hospital West, Joplin Missouri, after an illness. He was 76. Mr. Redden was born Aug 21, 1924, in Picher, to Burr Redden and Julia Kinyon Redden. He lived in the Picher area all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired lead and zinc miner. He was a member of Eagles Nest Fellowship church, Picher, and the American Legion of Miami. He married Juanita Lasiter on Aug 7, 1951, in Huntsville Arkansas. She survives, of the home. Additional survivors include two sons, Roy Redden, Oklahoma City Oklahoma, and Rick Redden, Bluejack Oklahoma; three daughters, Phyllis Redden, April Cox, and Raylene Herd, all of Picher; two sisters, Vella Smith, Miami, and Joyce Harrison, Commerce Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Troy Big John' Redden. Burial in the G.A.R. cemetery, Miami. Pallbearers are his grandsons.
