a 77 years old resident of Quapaw Oklahoma, died at 4:55 Sunday afternoon in the Miami Baptist hospital. He had been a resident of this district for the past 35 years, having worked in the Tri-State mines before retiring several years ago. Mr. Record and wife, Mrs. Tinnie Record, had been married nearly 56 years. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last January. He was a member of the Quapaw Baptist church. Survivors, besides his wife, include four daughters, Mrs. Helen Safford of Picher Oklahoma, Mrs. Charles Toller, Miami, Mrs. Bert Matthews of Venice California and Mrs. Andy Crisco, Eminence Missouri; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the First Baptist church in Quapaw. The Rev. John Elliott of Fairland Oklahoma assisted by Rev. O. C. Bean of Quapaw officiated. Burial was in the G.A.R. cemetery in Miami, under direction of the Goodson-Durnil funeral home, Picher. Pallbearers were Ed McGuirk, Sam Andrews, Carl Sidberry, Horace Rider, Wig Dawson and Waters Reynolds.
