Austin Purcell, 47 years old, well known miner throughout the district, died at his home at Commerce at 214 South Cedar Street at 5:30 o'clock Saturday morning. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist church at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Dean, pastor of the church in charge. The Rev. Joe Deathridge, pastor of the Christian church, will assist at the ceremony. Arrangements are in charge of the Mitchelson undertaking parlors, Commerce. Burial will be made in the G.A.R. cemetery at Miami. Mr. Purcell leaves his wife, Mrs. Vella Purcell; a daughter, Mrs. Neva Jones, Commerce; five brothers, Henry Purcell of Leads South Dakota, John Purcell of Selma Texas; Grover Purcell and Jim Purcell of Sparta Missouri, and Ruben Purcell of Fresno California; and one sister, Mrs. Fannie Goddard of Mexico Missouri.
