head hopper man at the Wilbur Mine, has resigned his position to once again become coach of the Baxter Springs Kansas high school, so instead of tending the hopper, Tex' now has about 35 young Baxterites hopping through their daily dozen in football practice.

Carlos Tex' Pruett, athletic director of Baxter Springs Kansas high school, who spent several summers mining at the Wilbur Mine is now helping push his new gym to completion.
