Mrs. Clara Inez Poole, 43 years old, wife, of Delbert Poole, ground foreman at the Vinegar-Hill Barr Mine, died at 9 o'clock this morning at her home in Picher Oklahoma following a long illness. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Harvey of Wichita Kansas, Mrs. Belle Thurman of Arapaho Oklahoma and two brothers, Alec Poole and Henry Barnes Poole of Fayetteville Arkansas. Funeral services will probably be held at 2 o'clock Saturday at the home. The Rev. Wesley Post, pastor of the Union Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Hill Crest cemetery at Galena Kansas under the direction of the Green undertaking company, Picher.

Funeral services for Delbert Sherman Dee' Poole, 44 years old, former ground foreman at the Barr Mine of the Vinegar Hill Mine will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the First Christian church in Baxter Springs Kansas with the Rev. Newell M. Hall, pastor, officiating. The Baxter Springs Kansas A.F. and A.M. lodge No. 71, the Shrine of Pittsburg and the consistory of Fort Scott will conduct rites at the grave in Forest Park cemetery in Joplin Missouri. Pallbearers will be Jim Sullivan, Arch Furgerson, T. J. Goodwin, Thomas Blanchard, Frank Ransom and Dallas Wilson. Mr. Poole died at 12:05 Tuesday morning at his home at 2317 Park avenue in Baxter Springs following a long illness. A native of Oklahoma, he had lived in Baxter Springs for 20 years. He was a member of the Christian church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gladys Poole; one daughter, Gladys Marie Poole, at home; his father, J. T. Poole of Baxter Springs; five sisters, Mrs. Ed McNerney of Chicago, Mrs. D. M. Ashford and Mrs. Glenn Hoch, of Kansas City Missouri, Mrs. Phillip Nyer of Ransom Kansas and Mrs. Floyd Calham of Wrightwood, Washington; and four brothers, Please Poole of Kansas City Missouri, Frank Poole of Picher, George Poole and Harold Poole of Baxter Springs.

Chad extends the sympathy of the various mining circles to the family of Delbert Dee' Sherman Poole, a former ground foreman at the Barr Mine of the Vinegar Hill Mine Company. Mr. Poole was held in high regard by all persons who knew him. The friendship and devotion of the men who worked under his supervision are living tributes to the life of Dee Poole. Others may come and others may go, but none will ever fill the place of the Dee Poole in the hearts of his men.
