PHELPS - Gerald O. Phelps - 37 years old, a miner, died at 9 a.m. today at Miami Baptist hospital. Surviving are his wife, 415 G Street southeast, Miami, a daughter, Mrs. Harold Copeland of Miami; a son, Junior Copeland of North Miami; three brothers, Fred Phelps, Delmar Phelps and Lee Phelps, all of Commerce Oklahoma, and a sister, Mrs. Raymond Anderson of Miami. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Mitchelson funeral home, Commerce.

Funeral services for Gerald O. Phelps, who died at Miami Baptist hospital yesterday morning, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of God on South Main Street. The Rev. E. L. Holland will officiate. The body will lie in state at the residence, 415 G Street, southeast, until the funeral hour. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under direction of the Mitchelson funeral home.

43, former Commerce Oklahoma resident, died at 5:17 p.m. Sunday at his home in Bentonville Arkansas, after a long illness. Prior to moving to Arkansas a year ago he was employed by the Eagle-Picher Mining and Smelting Company. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Blanche Marie Phelps, and a son, Freddie Jack Phelps, both of the home; two brothers, Delmar D. Phelps, North Miami Oklahoma, and Harley Lee Phelps of Commerce Oklahoma, and a sister, Mrs. Raymond L. Anderson of Miami. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of God church at Bentonville. Burial will be in the Coffelt cemetery there.
