Abstract Data

Funeral services for Claude Preston Phelps, 47 year old former Tri-State district miner, were to be conducted in Kellogg Idaho, at 1:30 p.m. today. Burial was to be in a cemetery there. Phelps was found dead in his room at Wallace Idaho, Wednesday morning. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Born near Welch Oklahoma, Phelps lived in Cardin Oklahoma before moving to Wallace about five years ago. Survivors include three brothers, Everett Phelps of Gem Idaho, Paul Phelps of Wichita Kansas, and Elmer Phelps of Baxter Springs Kansas, Route 2, and three sisters, Mrs. Eula House of Cardin Oklahoma, Mrs. Alta Vaughn of Baxter Springs Route 3 and Mrs. Cora Lindsey of Gem.
