Abstract Data

was born in Arkansas, Nov 26, 1862. On Oct 23, 1889, he was married to Miss Drusilla Davis who departed this life in January 1911. To them were born twelve children of whom five, Gracie Petty, Minnie Petty, Robert Petty, Albert Petty and Evelyn Petty remain to mourn their loss. His suffering was long; two weeks before he died he was converted and in his last days gave good evidence that he had laid hold on eternal life. He died in Galena Kansas, Dec 8, 1912, at the age of fifty years and twelve days. His remains were brought to Liberal Kansas. The funeral was conducted at the Methodist church by Rev. W. T. Ward at 2:30 pm yesterday, and he was laid to rest beside his wife, in the Liberal cemetery. Mr. Petty had been a miner.
