43 year old Douthat Oklahoma miner, died at 5 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at his home after a lingering illness. Survivors include one son, Herbert Oliver, Wagoner Oklahoma; two daughters, Beatrice Penny, and Mrs. Lila Ray, both of Kansas City Missouri; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Carnel, Douthat; two brothers, William Penny, Douthat, and Daniel Atwell, Zincville Oklahoma; one step-brother, Earl Garnell, Globe Arizona; four step-sisters, Mrs. Grace Piercefield, Quapaw Oklahoma, Mrs. Elsie Bullard, Blackfoot Idaho, Mrs. Edith Salazar, Edwards Colorado, and Mrs. Clarence Martin, Miami; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Baptist church in Douthat. The Rev. C. J. Mallatt and the Rev. L. E. Cook will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, under direction of Goodson-Durnil funeral home, Picher.
