44 year old Commerce Oklahoma hard rock lead and zinc miner, died at 7 o'clock Monday evening at his home, 413 North Main Street. He had been a resident of Commerce for 30 years and was ill for the past year. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Patterson, and one son, Richard Patterson, of the home; his mother, Mrs. Mary Patterson, Commerce; three sisters, Mrs. J. Patterson Diebert, San Diego California, Mrs. Pete Ferguson, Commerce, and Mrs. Billy Hurd, Los Angeles California; three step-sons, Howard Newcomb, Merced California, Evan Newcomb, Silvertown Oregon, and Clyde Newcomb, Commerce. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the First Baptist church. The Rev. J. Grover Scales will officiate. The body will lie in state at the family home from 7 o'clock this evening until the funeral hour. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under direction of Goodson- Durnil funeral home, Picher.
