84 years old, died at 7 o'clock Monday night at his Commerce Oklahoma home, 114 North Walnut Street. He was popularly known among townspeople as "Uncle Billy," and had been a long-time employee in the mines. Survivors include a son, Max Patten of Tulsa Oklahoma, and two daughters, Mrs. W. W. Fitch of Caldwell Kansas, and Miss Grace Patten of Wichita Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Commerce Methodist church. The Rev. James L. Fisher will officiate. Burial will be in the city cemetery at Columbus Kansas, under direction of the Mitchelson funeral home.
