a retired miner, died at 1 pm Thursday at his Miami home, 15 J Street northeast, at the age of 65. Before moving here in July, he had resided at Welch, Commerce and Picher Oklahoma. Mr. Pace was former employee of the American Lead and Zinc Company He was a member of the Commerce Baptist church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lourena E. Pace, of the home; a step-son, Eddie Reed, Goodland Kansas; three brothers, Dean Pace and Bruce Pace, Rogers Arkansas, and Fred Pace, Bellflower California; three sisters, Mrs. Eula Buttram Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Verda Gregory, Bixby Oklahoma, and Mrs. Hannah Hammack, Rogers, and a step-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday at the Bayless Baptist church near Gateway Arkansas. The Rev. Roy Galyean will officiate. Pallbearers will be George Gundlach and Charles Gundlach, Roy Pace, Arlis Tilford, Orville Hall and George Hall. Burial will be in the Bayless cemetery, between Gateway and Garfield Arkansas, under direction of the Thomas funeral home at Picher.
