Funeral services for William B. Osburn, 58 year old Commerce Oklahoma miner, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Commerce Assembly of God church. The Rev. John Linn will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. Henry Horn. Osburn died Saturday evening at the Talihina tuberculosis hospital. He had been in ill health for several years and entered the hospital a few weeks ago. The retired miner moved to Commerce in 1942 after residing at Cardin Oklahoma for 19 years. He was born in Taney county Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Betty Osburn; two sons, William James Osburn, Commerce, and Samuel Lloyd Osburn, Baxter Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Gerhart, Commerce; Ruby Alice Osburn and Betty Ann Osburn, both of the home; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Haight, Yuba City California; two brothers, Mark Osburn, Commerce, and Tom Osburn, Ione California, and one grandson. Burial will be in the G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under the direction of the Roberson-Hunter funeral home, Picher Oklahoma. The body will lie in state at the mortuary chapel until the funeral hour.
