A general ground foreman for the Kansas Mining Exploration Company, died Jan 28, 1927, age 38, this morning at his home in Blue Mound Kansas. Death was due to a relapse following an illness of pneumonia. Mr. Officer is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Officer, one sister, Mrs. Bessie Bevins of Denoya Oklahoma, and a half-brother, Fred Thurman of Locust Grove Oklahoma. Pending the completion of funeral arrangements the body is at the Todd undertaking company at Picher Oklahoma.

Funeral services for Samuel Officer, 38 years old, who died Friday at his home in Blue Mound, were held at the family home at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. The body was taken to Stillwell Oklahoma, for burial. The funeral was in charge of the Todd undertaking company, Picher.
