of Picher Oklahoma, died Thursday, Jul 29, 1999, at 7:31 pm in Integris Baptist Hospital in Miami after an illness. He was 68. He was born Dec 13, 1931, in Cherokee county Kansas to Benjamin Norman and Pansy Renno Norman. He had lived in Picher all his life and was a retired lead, zinc and copper miner. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Preston Norman, on Sep 23, 1973. Survivors include a son, Michael Norman of Troy Montana; a brother, Charles Norman of Troy; a sister, Rose Ann Jones of Picher; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The funeral service was Monday, Aug 2, at 11:30 am. The Rev. Robert Cody officiated and burial was in Oak Hill cemetery in Galena Kansas. Pallbearers were Robert Stovall, Lee Lyle, Jimmy Cody, Ernie Redden, Vic Forcum, and Ralph Huston. Arrangements were under the direction of Paul Thomas funeral home of Picher.
