Wyandotte Oklahoma, died at 11 pm Thursday, Jan 23, 1997, at Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami. He was 72. Mr. Nicholson was born May 10, 1924, at Monark to John Edwin and Anna Lee Longenbaugh Nicholson. He had lived in the Wyandotte Oklahoma area most of his life. He had worked as a lead and zinc miner and a mechanic for Yellow Freight systems. He was a member of the Mount Olive Lutheran Church of Miami. He married Ruby I. Fletcher on Aug 31, 1946. She survives, of the home. Additional survivors include a son, Jimmy Lee Nicholson, Miami; three daughters, Anna Black, Bernice Oklahoma, Edwina Robinson, Wyandotte Oklahoma, and Laverna Whitely, Grove Oklahoma, his mother, Anna Nicholson, Wyandotte, 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Service will be Monday, Jan 27, 1996, at 2 pm at the Mount Olive Lutheran Church. The Rev. Don Kirchoff will officiate. Burial will be in Council House cemetery, northwest of Grove. Pallbearers will be James Gallaway, Oscar Convirs, Lester Convirs, David Ingram, Bob Edwards, Rollie Wade and Jarred Beeler. The family will receive friends this afternoon. Sunday, Jan 26, from 3 to 4 pm at the Paul Thomas funeral home of Picher.
