60 years old, died at 7:30 last night at his home in Cardin. Death was due to a complication of ailments. Mr. Newman had worked as a miner many years, but had not been able to follow the work for some time. He is survived by three sons, Charles Newman, Jr., and William Newman of Cardin Oklahoma and John F. Newman Los Angeles California, and two daughters Miss Eva May Newman of Sioux City Iowa. The body will be sent to Hartington Nebraska, a former home of the family, Thursday, for burial. The body was been prepared for burial by the Todd undertaking company, Picher.
