Death struck again Monday night in a Picher Oklahoma home. Earl Mott, 55 year old retired farmer, died unexpectedly while at Picher awaiting funeral services for his mother, Mrs. Minnie Vell McNeely, who succumbed Saturday. Double funeral services will be held at the local First Baptist church Friday afternoon. Mott, who had been in poor health the past two years, died about 11 at the McNeely home, 608 south Cherokee Street, Picher. A former miner, he had lived since 1942 on a farm near Stella Missouri. Previously he had resided in the Picher area some 27 years. Mott was native of Havanah Arkansas. Joint rites will begin at 2 Friday under the direction of the Rev. C. E. Bergen, assisted by the Rev. Jess Johnson, both of Picher. Interment will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, with the Roberson-Hunter funeral home in charge. Mott is survived by his wife, Alpha Mott; two daughters, Mrs. Don Shoemaker and Mrs. Bob Kaylor, both of Mullan Idaho; three brothers, Paul McNeely, Picher; Clayton McNeely, Sacramento California, and Leonard Morgan, Brownsfield Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Doris Plaster, Mrs. Laverne Moore and Mrs. Mina May Haynes, all of Sacramento California; Mrs. Myrtle Abernathy of Commerce and Mrs. Jessie Robison of Darnenville Arkansas. Nephews of Mott will serve as his pallbearers. The mothers pallbearers will be Art King, Armor McGuire, Paul Johnson, Goldie Lee, Jerry Feezel and Burly Riggs.
