born Feb 6, 1900, at Weir Kansas to Dennis Moran and Minnie Moran. He graduated from the Cherokee Kansas high school with the class of 1918. He was a member of the second graduating class of the Miami School of Miami, and the Missouri School of Mines in 1927, with a mining engineer degree. He worked for the Commerce Mining and Royalty Company and later as chief engineer at Eagle-Picher, retiring in 1966. He later worked as a mine inspector for three and a half years for the U.S. Geological Service as as a county surveyor for nine and a half years. He owned and operated Moran Engineering until his retirement in 1997. Married Conzada Faye Moran on Sep 20, 1933, at Miami. She preceded in death on Mar 17, 2000. Cooper-Althouse funeral home. Burial in the G.A.R. cemetery, Miami.
