Funeral services for George L. Moore, 61 year old long time resident of the Tri- State district who died in Springfield Missouri, Sunday, will be conducted at the Assembly of God church in Baxter Springs Kansas, at 2 pm Thursday. The Rev. Henry Horn will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. Ward Popejoy. Members of the church will act as pallbearers. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery under direction of the Thomas funeral home of Picher Oklahoma. The body will lie in state at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Chester Barnett, 202 West D Street, Picher Oklahoma from 6 pm Wednesday until the funeral hour.

George Iola Moore,61 yearold Picher man, died at 7:30 o'clock Sunday night at the home of a son, Estel I. Moore, in Springfield, where he had been visiting the past three weeks. Mr. Moore had lived in this district since 1926. He was born in Dexter Kansas, and was a retired miner and farmer. He was a member of the Assembly of God church. Survivors are five sons, Rev. Estel Moore, Springfield, Howard Moore, Westwood California, Junior Moore and George Moore of Picher and Sgt. Dewey R. Moore, with the Army at Aberdeen Maryland; three daughters, Mrs. Damon Rude, Columbus Kansas, Mrs. Chester Barnett and Mrs. A. J. Wilson of Picher; three sisters, Mrs. Elva Eagleston, Neosho Missouri, Mrs. Henry Hopkins, Joplin Missouri and Mrs. Mose Kindricks of Arkansas City Kansas and nineteen grandchildren. The body lay in state at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Chester Barnett, 202 West D Street, Picher, from 6 o'clock Wednesday evening until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be held today at 2 o'clock at the Assembly of God church in Baxter Springs Kansas with the Rev. Henry Horn officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Ward Popejoy. Pallbearers were O. M. Wilson, Sherman Thomas, Ben Robinson, George Pliler, Carol Blyer and George Wilson. Burial will be in the G.A.R. cemetery, Miami, under the direction of the Thomas funeral home, Picher.
