27 years old, was burned to death in a fire that early yesterday morning destroyed the Crescent Hotel on North Kentucky avenue, at Quapaw Oklahoma. The building was almost entirely enveloped by the fire and was destroyed. Twenty guests of the hostelry escaped through the smoke and flames when the fire was discovered, by way of the second story windows. All but Mills were accounted for after the fire. Mills was a soldier. He recently received his discharge and was scheduled to go to work yesterday morning as a hoisterman at the True Blue Mine. He leaves his wife, who lives at Baxter Springs.
