69 years old, 63 North Netta Street, Picher Oklahoma died at 6:30 o'clock last night at his home. Death resulted within half an hour after Mr. Miller was seized with violent coughing, which developed within only a few minutes after the evening meal, causing a hemorrhage. Mr. Miller was one of the earliest settlers of Picher. He came here in 1919 and opened a tire repair shop, which he conducted many years. Since being injured in a motor car accident several years ago, he had not been engaged in any active business. Mr. Miller and family came here from Quapaw Oklahoma, where they lived for some time during pioneer mining activity of the district. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Alvira Miller; two sons, John Miller of Afton Oklahoma and Alfred Miller of Picher; two daughters, Mrs. Ella Williams of Houston, Texas, and Miss Gertie Miller of Picher, a sister living in Ohio and three grandchildren. Mr. Miller was member of the Masonic lodge of Winchester Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the First spiritualist church on North Netta Street. The Rev. Emma Moore will officiate. The Masonic lodge will be in charge of the services and members of the order will act as pallbearers.
