who has been a patient at an ex-service men's hospital for several months for special treatment for lung trouble, has returned home much improved in health. When he left Picher Oklahoma his condition was regarded as critical.

John Miller, 40 year old Word War veteran, former mail carrier, and charter member of the Picher post of American Legion, died at 11 this morning at the state sanitarium at Sulphur where he had been for the last several years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lena Miller, a daughter, Anna Miller, a stepdaughter, Gladys Apperson, three stepsons, Earl Apperson, Roy Apperson, and Ray Apperson all from Picher. The body will arrive from Sulphur Oklahoma, tonight and will lie in state at the Green undertaking company chapel until 2 Thursday afternoon when funeral services will be at the Union church. American Legion men will make the funeral a military one. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami.

The funeral of John Miller, who died Tuesday at the government hospital at Sulphur, following an illness of several years, was conducted at the Union church at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. Mrs. Lou Love of Galena Kansas officiated and military rites were conducted by Picher post, 150, American Legion, of which Mr. Miller was a charter member. Burial was in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami.
