Joe Miller, 56, former Picher tavern operator and a resident of Ottawa county since boyhood died early today in a rest home at 608 A Street southeast. He had been in poor health for several months. Familiarly known as "Indian Joe", Miller worked in the Tri-State district mining field before he entered business in Picher. His survivors were not known immediately. Arrangements for services and burial will be announced by the Hutchens funeral home of Picher.

Funeral services for Joe Miller, 56 year old former miner, will be conducted in the Assembly of God church at 1 Saturday. The Rev. L. J. Choate, pastor, will officiate. Pallbearers will be Howard Klinefelter, Frank Edwards, Earl Hand, Riley Saffell, T. DeWitt Wilson and Jim Birmingham. Burial will be in G.A.R. cemetery, Miami, under direction of the Hutchins funeral home. Miller, a resident of Ottawa county Oklahoma, since boyhood, died in a rest home Thursday.
