Picher, Oklahoma, May 31.--Andy Merkle, about 55 years old, was found dead in an outbuilding at the White Mining Company's plant, West A Street, Picher, this morning by Al Cassidy and other miners. Merkle was employed as trackman at the mine and worked on the night shift. According to other miners, Merkle had complained of being sick last night and was hoisted from the ground about midnight. He was not seen any more until this morning, when he was found dead. The body was taken to the morgue of the Todd undertaking company, Picher, where an inquest will be held before Justice of the Peace Hattie Henderson, to determine cause of death. Merkle roomed at the L. H. Little boarding house, Central and Vantage Streets, Picher. His relatives have not been located.

Picher, Oklahoma, June 1.--Andy Merkle, 59 years old, came to his death from natural causes, probably heart trouble, according to the verdict of a coroner's jury in the court of Justice of the Peace Hattie Henderson, Thursday night. county attorney A. L. Commons gave the case a rigid investigation. Merkle was found dead in an out building of the White Mining Company Thursday morning after having been hoisted from the ground about midnight after complaining that he was sick. Merkle's relatives have not been found. He is supposed to be survived by his parents at Flint Michigan. The body is at the parlors of the Todd undertaking company, Picher awaiting funeral arrangements.
