A short illness proved fatal Saturday to William Bill' McWilliams, widely known Commerce Oklahoma man. He was 53, or 58, years old. McWilliams was employed by the Youngman and Youse Mining Company as an electric shovel operator. He was a resident of Commerce for 18 years and before establishing his home there was a resident of Prosperity Missouri. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and of the First Baptist church, with which he was identified several years as a deacon. McWilliams died at his home on North Quincy Street. Surviving are his wife, Melda McWilliams; two daughters, Mrs. Everett Qusley of Commerce and Mrs. J. H. Pryor of Kansas City; two sons, Joe McWilliams of Commerce and Thurman McWilliams of Fresno California; two brothers, Charles Key McWilliams of Commerce and John McWilliams of Joplin Missouri; a sister Mrs. Ruth Pomeroy of Hayward California; his father, Moses McWilliams of Carthage Missouri and four grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Lane funeral home is in charge.

Funeral services for William Bill' McWilliams, 58, or 53, who died Saturday at his Commerce home, were to be conducted at 2 pm today at the Commerce Baptist church. The Rev. J. Grover Scales was to officiate. Masonic rites were scheduled at the grave in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami, and burial was to be under direction of the Lane funeral home.
