Picher Oklahoma, died at 6:40 pm Sunday, Feb 1, 1998, at Baptist Regional Health Center, Miami, after an illness. He was 83. Mr. McQuistion was born April 29, 1914, at Alluwe, to Miles McQuistion and Dora Martin McQuistion. He had lived in Picher for several years, moving from White Oak Oklahoma. He worked as a lead and zinc miner. He also worked for Miami Iron and Metal, retiring after 19 years. Survivors include his wife, Leona Diner McQuistion, of the home; and a brother, Leon Bud McQuistion, rural Miami. The graveside service will be 10 am Wednesday at the Ottawa Oklahoma cemetery, northwest of Miami, with the Rev. Clyde Stilley officiating. Services are under the direction of the Paul Thomas funeral home, Picher. [Note: The date, Feb 2, 1998, on this page is a mistake and should be Feb 3, 1998]
