Picher Oklahoma, died at 7:35 am Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center, Miami, after an illness. He was 91. He was born May 24, 1907, in Oronogo Missouri, to John McNeely and Emma Lawrence McNeely. He had lived in the Picher area since moving there in 1926. He worked in the Picher lead and zinc mines for a number of years then for the Weideman Construction Company and the Mattes Brothers Construction Company. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Alba Missouri. He married Madelin 'Madge' Coldwell Miller on June 22, 1940, in Columbus Kansas. She survives, of the home. Additional survivors include a daughter, Vivian Rardin, Picher, three grandchildren, Pamela Osward, Mike Ward, and Lisa Jones, all of Picher; and a sister, Gertrude Bergman, Zantha Missouri. The service will be 2 pm Friday, at the Paul Thomas funeral home, Picher, with the Rev. Bill Richey officiating. Burial will be at G.A.R. cemetery, Miami.
