45, died at his home in Hockerville Oklahoma yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock after an illness of three weeks of pneumonia. He was a resident of Picher Oklahoma for the last 23 years and for the last 14 years was ground boss for the Canadian Mining company. He is survived by his wife, Estella McMahan; one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Renfroe of Joplin Missouri; four stepchildren, James Pattison of California, Kathleen Rakes of Hockerville Oklahoma, Pat Backer of Tulsa and David Pattison at home; two brothers, Tom McMahan of McCune Kansas, and Earl McMahan of Kansas City Missouri; and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Hockerville Baptist church, with the Rev. Richard Dareing of Quapaw Oklahoma officiating. The pallbearers will be Pedro Potter, Opal Potter, John Arnold, Everett Rakes, Lou Lacker and Jack Ott. Burial will be in Hillcrest cemetery at Galena Kansas, under the direction of the Durnil funeral home, Picher.
